The Learning Services Division of Iron Mountain is charged with training and educating the 17,700 worldwide employees on topics from leadership to interviewing skills. However, it was difficult to ascertain at any given time how the organization was performing to their budgetary plans and expenses. The team needed a system that could report in real-time the state of actual expenditures to allow comparison to budgeted accounts.

Solution:
In a very short timeframe SilkSystem was able to create a web based budget tracking system capable of showing management reports. Reporting provides a view from the high level of the department to the lowest item, with up to date information on expense reports and invoices. With features such as user accounts, permission structures, intuitive forms and context sensitive roll over help, the system is easy to use for all members of the team. Team members can securely access the application while on the road or in a satellite office.

SilkSystem fast tracked the entire process from requirements gathering to deployment with its experience of creating business process applications. The system not only exceeds the current needs of the organization but as well was designed to be easily expanded with new functionality in the future.

The United States Judo Organization had pushed the limites of its FoxPro client/server member application and it was no longer capable of supporting the growth of the organization. Much of the data in the system was also out of date.

Solution:
SilkSystem developed a complete web-based application with a desktop GUI. The database was upgraded to Microsoft SQL Server with a complete database schema redesign. As well tools were created to scrub and migrate the old data.
